50 Years of minimalistic music…

Written by:
Category: Guest Mixes

Holy frikkin sh*t! Frontrunner for compilation / mix of 2009 so far. Âme, Henrik Schwarz and Dixon collaborate on this journey through 50 years of minimal music, and we’re not talking about only minimal house here… from early electro, disco, jazz-funk, to today’s minimal house/tech sound. Love this definetion of minimalistic music “mostly in consonant harmony, steady pulse (if not immobile drones), stasis and slow transformation, and often reiteration of musical phrases or smaller units such as figures, motifs, and cells.”
