Big Daddy Kane – The Documentary

Hip-Hop

I’m just a total sucker for music documentaries, put on something about the making of an album by a band I don’t even like and I’ll watch it. But this is just an absolutely essential watch for any hip-hop head.

Big Daddy Kane was before my time and obviously, I knew the classics but I guess I had overlooked the impact and originality that he brought to the rap game. He was a lady killer but also one of the most respected cats on the mic too… “He was Marvin Gaye, James Brown and Barry White smashed into one guy”
