I must say that amidst this whole wave of nostalgia with the whole 90’s house and garage sound there are very few productions that truly stand out. The one thing that is generally lacking from most of these releases is quite simply originality. I hate listening to a song that just reminds me so much about something that came out in the 90’s, why not just go back to the original…
Along with C.R.S.T and Mosca the duo from South London known as Disclosure are definitely some of my favorites of the genre. Despite their really young age they’ve managed to come up with a pretty original sound, one that you recognize from track to track and that stands out from the lot. Been playing a lot of their stuff lately and it always gets a great response.
