Forgotten Treasure: Tina Moore “Never Gonna Let You Go” Kelly G Bump-N-Go Mix (1997)

UK Garage / Grime / 2step / Dubstep

UK and Dubstep heads need to brush up on their history…. This is one of the earliest and most important tracks of the 2 step movement.

There is a good interest in old-school UK Garage right now, but before giving it yet another new name (“Future Garage”), kids need to hit the books a little and check out who laid the foundations for people like Falty DL, Cosmin TRG, Pearson Sound, etc… This track came out in 1997 and is one of the first to have the syncopated 2step beat, not to be confused with the more 4 to the floor Garage… ohhh yeah, and the sample of this track was used for Double 99’s “RIP Groove”, probably the most important track of the speed garage movement.
