Born To Shine Records are back with their 2nd instalment, this one from my main brother Frankfurt Funk. The label didn’t had to look too far for their quest to expose the variety and immense talent that Germany has to offer.
After the success of First Touch‘s “Daycruisin” EP, this 7’ is doomed to leave the stock room empty in a minute. I’ve been a huge fan of Frankfurt Funk (aka Chris Neal) for a long while, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to finally see his productions on wax. “Master Blaster” defines the “modern” g-funk sound that Chris has been crafting for years; thumping bassline, stank-face synths and drum programming seasoned to perfection. “Summer Madness” is a slow-burner, and exhibits every components of a California G-Funk anthem.
