Nowadays it’s easy to get lost in the sea of “beat” producers. Seems there are 10 new producers putting out beat tapes so it becomes increasingly difficult to separate the generic stuff from the real shit. Fortunately, with Dibia$e it’s not too difficult.
The LA (yes, another dope dude from LA) producer is quickly becoming one of my favorites in the beat scene. Love the raw and very organic approach to the boom bap sound. A lot of producers get carried away with the crazy 8bit arpeggiators but while this is very neck snapping stuff it still keeps a very soulful approach. “Sound Palace” is on that instrumental beat tap thing, is 14 tracks deep and is just begging to be jumped on by some of the best MC’s… I would if I could.
