Future Classic: Prizm “Volumes EP”

Prizm is an up and coming producer from East London that you need to hear if you’re into that grimey UK Funky sound and all those UK Garage mutations. Well at the very least you’ll be hearing about him from us.

I was browsing around on one of my favorite stores in the world, London’s Sound of the Universe shop and this white label peeked my curiosity. Yeah i’m a sucker for lo-fi stamped or hand written 12″ with no cover and very little information. It’s like the old “mystery box” trick. I don’t know why it always gets me.

Well, once again I was rewarded by the gods of the white label with a reaaaally strong 3 track EP that is sold exclusively at S.O.T.U. I’m really liking 2 of the tracks on the EP, “P BUMP” and “Level 8” both pretty simple but oh so funky. Definitely a must for fans of Roska, C.R.S.T, Brackles and so on… Prizm is definitely someone to watch out for, judging from his newer productions you can tell that he’s evolving with every track.
