Future Classic: Sina “From Love To Dust”

Beats

In the aftermath of the MIMS 24 Hours of Vinyl event, it hit me; I like Sina‘s From Love To Dust for the same reason I like Burial‘s music. They are both rich in textures and the vibes on those recordings are both haunting and cinematic.

There is also some differences. For one, some Sina‘s track have wobbly bass but it would be wrong to limit them to calling it dubstep. The style is more like other downtempo beats on the same label, Project: Mooncircle. The pop sensibilities of the two are quite different also; Sina uses spacy voices like Burial without chopping them into bits that dehumanize them as you can hear in the unofficial video for the track called Remembrance.

Here is the complete release in streaming. The Gards From KC Remix of the title track is also quite nice.

MaxRobin

Max Robin is a towntempo kind of guy. He loves beats. Making them, sampling them, shaking them, baking them, spinning them, radio hosting them,... He releases a beat a day at 30bpm.com. Oh and he's also 1/2 of wobbly affair Pax Kingz with Millimetrik and 1/2 of irreverent french rap duo MC Phylis et Maxime Robin. Oh que oui!
