Future Classic: XL Middleton “Sunset On Sunset (East End)”

In this week’s episode of my Voyage Funktastique Radio Show, I wanted to feature the latest test press that I received from the good people at Omega Supreme Records (shout out to James); XL Middleton‘s Sunset On Sunset (with Inkswel feat Gary Davis & Andras Fox – Delaide Reaction). Sunset On Sunset is the perfect summer anthem; just the drums alone are precursor to a mighty bassline, dreamy synths, sprinkled with seasoned strings. XL Middleton embodies the fusion between G-Funk and Modern Funk : “What I seek to do is change the perception of what people consider g-funk; I don’t want it to be thought as threatening, unfriendly music.” His catalogue speaks for itself, and he just released “From The Vaults Vol.2”.
