Digital drop next Monday (5th September) on Brownswood Recordings featuring two of our favourite producers who have persistently expanded the boundaries of bass music in recent times. xxxy’s releases on Orca, Fabric and Ten Thousand Yen pushed all the right buttons for us – rooted in UK Funky but always blessed with killer hooks and warm atmospherics. His rub takes Ghostpoet’s full vocal and lays it on signature 808 booms, undulating pads and skipping percussion. Dipping into twitchier techno territory, Lando Kal (half of speaker-bruising duo Lazer Sword) crafts a choppy little dub with all the bump ‘n’ grind you’d expect from this hotly-tipped talent. via Brownswood
