I was hanging out with Lefto at my place yesterday talking about this and that, sharing musical discoveries. He mostly wanted to know about music from Montreal so I put him on to the talent we have over here!
Then we got to talking about all the video work he does at the events he plays at and organizes. Although there is a ton of work to do in Montreal to reach that level of numbers in our scene, it was really motivating to see all those amazing videos.

- LeFtO Films: Dour Festival 2011 (LeFtO Stage)
For the past 9 years I’ve been programming/hosting a stage in collab with the festival at Dour and this year’s edition might’ve been the best one so far. With artists like Electric Wire Hustle, Ghostpoet, Nosaj Thing, Grems, Herbaliser, Flying Lotus, Gaslamp Killer, Cut Chemist and locals like 74 Miles Away I must say the tent was so crowded all day/night long. 7000 People came to support their favorite artists.

- GP Worldwide 2011 – DAY 4
Day 4 – Last day I filmed as I took the sunday off to chill big time! Rich Medina, Jeremy Sole and Simbad at the beach, and had to miss the Pyramids live and Owiny as I had a radio session for Grenouille 88.8 and a soundcheck downstairs. Big stage at the lighthouse tonite with Flying Lotus, assisted by Dorian Concept and Richard Spaven.. Benji B, Derrick Carter, Kode9 and myself… good night, different styles. The Kode9 moment at the end was classic.

To me, this has been the best Worldwide Awards so far, perfect venue for this event, good vibes, nice live acts, all deejays on point, stage production tight, Gilles Peterson happy, everybody happy.
