Finally! the dope Swedish x Japanese group come for a visit!
LITTLE DRAGON is – for those who don’t know any better – one of the dopest groups to come out in the last 2-3 years (although the vocalist Yukimi Nagano has been doing collaborations with people like Koop, Hird, Swell Sessions, Ge-Ology for a while now). Their first album (self-titled) dropped in 2007 and it had been a long long time since I had heard a good mellow, lofi, spacey electronic(y) record (it’s hard to define ok!)… it seemed in the late 90′s thats all that was coming out and that kind of stuff can really easily get generic and doesn’t usually age very well… Anyone listen to their 1995 Morcheeba record lately?
Their new record is definetly another step in the right direction, the production is a little more beefed up without sacrificing what made me love them from day 1. Anyyyywho, enough rambling… For those who know about them, go buy your ticket. For those who don’t you have about a month to do your homework and buy your ticks. This will be dope.
