Future Classic: LNDFK “Lust Blue”

Beats

Came across the debut EP from singer/songwriter LNDKF while SoundCloud surfing last night. If you’re yet to hear LNDKF her sound displays influences of jazz, neo-soul and hip- hop, filtered with her personal experiences and sensibility.

“Lust Blue” her debut EP dropped early last month via Swiss label Feelin’ Music (cult label for hip hop and experimental beats lovers). Wonderfully produced by Daryobass (musician, jazz piano player and beatmaker) the EP is composed of four easy-going tracks in which LNDFK gives the listener a small taste of her world.

The majority of the percussive elements have been created by sampling unusual objects such as ice in a glass or shoe box and mixed with synths and keyboard with the goal of building an electroacoustic sound. Our favourite track “Tell Me Why” shifts between soothing neo-soul and the glitchy jazz-inflected vibes more commonly associated with Flying Lotus. Refreshingly unique and exciting EP, so glad I stumbled upon it. Hit the download button and support.
