Melody Gardot Montreal Jazz Fest

I hate when media define a new artist as the new someone, its such lazy ass writting. Well, apparently Melody Gardot is now the new Norah Jones, until someone is appointed to the title of new Melody Gardot.

But after being lucky enough to catch her first ever Montreal show, I can tell you all you need to know : she has one of the most hypnotizing and crystal clear voices you’ll ever hear and has the stage presence of a veteran (she just released her first record in february and is only 23).

If you are reading this today you still have 2 nights to catch her at the TNM (July 2-3), in a setting that is perfect for the mood of the show. Oh yeah, the three musicians on stage are on point too…

“I’m looking for a man to hold my cane. If you’re interested see me after the show. I’ll pay you in cookies… not my cookies of course”. Heu…. pick me!

Je doit avouer que cette voix est accrochante et douce à mes oreilles, ce fut agréable de l’écouter en lisant ton article sur le Festival de jazz de Montréal
