A nice addition to our HERE & NOW series where we ask some of our favourite peoples to let us know what they are playing on their home stereos these days. Sam Mangwana “Trans-Beros”

Bobby Womack “The Preacher/More Than I Can Stand”
@hejira: An ecstatic live performance where the audience plays an equally important role in the record as the artist. So much raw infectious energy.
John Coltrane “What’s New”
@hejira: This track is taken from Coltrane’s sensuous ‘Ballads’ album. Trane’s tone is so expressive on this record, you can hear him singing the lyrics as he plays.
Patty Smith “Frederick”
@hejira: I love Patty Smith. Patty = Freedom.
