Rahsaan Patterson’s “The Wilhelm Scream” (+ bonus Wilhelms)

Soul

Our good friend and great producer Scott C let us know about this one. It’s a cover version of one of James Blake‘s better tracks called “Wilhelm Scream” done by american neosoul singer Rahsaan Patterson.

and also while we’re on the subject, I’m not sure if like me, you had no idea what the hell “Wilhelm Scream” stood for. Well, apparently it’s a film and television stock sound effect that was first used in 1951. Below is a pretty random and genius compilation of Screams of Wilhelms.
