Teddy Pendergrass (1950-2010)

[ 2 ] January 15, 2010 | Written by Lexis

Oh my. Teddy was so badass.

Sadly, we are starting to lose so many of the 60s and 70s american soul music icons. Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, James Brown, Ray Charles and so on. I don’t mean to be melodramatic, the point is: let’s cherish these artists while we have the chance.

James Brown died 3 days before I was going to see his show in Montreal. So everytime we lose a giant like Teddy I always think to myself that I’ve never seen him perform.

Let’s cherish Stevie, Aretha, George Clinton, Al Green, Dylan, the Stones while we still can. Go out to their shows or you’ll regret it!

R.I.P Teddy

(Oh, and i had to hook up Eddie rasMurphy’s priceless Teddy impersonation)
