Exclusive Premiere: The Mixtapers “We So Good” (Inkswel Remixes)

via Sonar Kollektiv: Whilst spending a few years busy in the studio and playing underground clubs in Berlin, Inkswel hooked up with Jurgen and the Jazzanova crew at Sonar Kollektiv.

They ate spaghetti at a local Italian restaurant and discussed their love for all things music, fast forward a few months and this turned into the first collaborative idea. Inkswel was a huge fan of THE MIXTAPERS debut ep and had the idea to rehash the whole project, a year later the release finally gets its well deserved release. Adding all new instrumentation to the 4 tracks and asking some friends to come along for the ride, the remix version of the EP takes a more electronic soul direction, whilst still maintaining the raw vibes of the originals.

Think DITC head nods meeting the swing of Dabrye. Added to the track ‘WE SO GOOD’ are mcs Mr Monk and Visionaries member LMNO, as well as haunting flute by Han Litz (Osunlade) – taking the track in a rawer posse cut vibe.
