My Favorite Things

MY FAVORITE THINGS #09 – Hosted by Psycut

Jazz Hip-Hop Soul & Funk

Hi everybody! The brand new My Favorite Things is here with as usual some of my best crate and web digging.

This episode starts with a very rare and deep Danish Jazz track, by “Vagn Leicks Trio” which is a good introduction to the full mixed version of Kalima’s “Sunshine”, a lovely Modern Soul nugget, recently reissued by the young French label Chuwanaga. Potatohead People, Black Milk, and Jazzy Jeff are all back with some great new LPs, and I am definitely loving their blends of Nu Soul, Funk, and Hip Hop. A big shout out to both Jessica Lauren and Toshio Matsuura – your new releases are definitely must-haves for all the New Jazz lovers out there. The second half of the show is focused on the sounds I’ve loved playing for the dance floor recently. The absolutely killer “Super People” by The Sunlightsquare and the the great ‘from ’70s Funk to Latin Fusion’ track “Happening in the Streets” by The Voltage Brothers.
Discover something new, and enjoy!
