Future Classic: Deep 88 & Melchior Sultana “Track 3”

It’s funny (or ridiculous) how sometimes you get lost into music. When I had the chance to come across this project I had no clue who the artists were behind this release. Then I dug back to some new releases I picked up lately to realize I already had a few 12″ from both of these producers known as Deep 88 & Melchior Sultana. If you’re not familiar with those guys, DEEP is the word.

Track 3 is a fine example of modern Deep House that takes inspiration from the past and creates new music from classics cues. A very delicate and atmospheric affair, it flows beautifully. Mellow keys, midtempo groove (remember the Detroit Beatdown movement?), and a very Larry Heard-ish feel are the elements here. Late night sweetness is the result…
