Getting into Brazilian music from the 60’s & 70’s can be a pretty intimidating thing. There is just so much of it and for the most part it aged very well, almost like there is more good stuff than bad stuff (which is pretty damn rare in any genre or era). So that’s why you need real DJ’s, diggers, selectors to show you the way. One guy out there that knows his shit is our good friend Psycut from Paris.
He is mostly known for running his renowned Jazz Attitudes night and running the Funk section of 22 Tracks in Paris. But like all true DJ’s his interests go well outside what he typically DJ’s in his nights.
I strongly suggest you check out all three and subscribe to his Mixcloud channel for that good shit.
