Exclusive Premiere: Cuthead “Get Down” (Local Talk Records)

House / Techno

Light-hearted with a dry sense of humour, Cuthead has a big personality that spills into his bold and experimental music that’s packed with analogue warmth and soul.

“Get Down” has a raw funk provided by the bassline that’s hammered home by the boom of the gritty kick drum. Cosmic synths blend with a haunting laugh and gentle pads to weave a tapestry of sound that’s full of texture. Carefree and light-hearted, the track’s deep vibe holds a sense of intensity and it’s ever-evolving structure can only be described as “epic”.

Local Talk is a Swedish label known globally as a trusted source of true and timeless House music with influence from Funk, Jazz and Soul. This new Local Talk release is from Cuthead who has previously featured on Local Talk as a remix artist, but this time returns with a selection of stunning original tracks.

Many know Cuthead aka Robert Arnold from his seminal releases on much famed German label Uncanny Valley, but his music can also be found on Delusions Of Grandeur, Dirt Crew Recordings and S3A’s label Sampling As An Art Records. Part of the Kunst:stoff Breakz crew known for throwing wild parties where anything goes, Cuthead is a master of the Akai MPC sampler and incorporates elements of Hip Hop, Breakbeats and Electro into his eclectic and individual sound.

Cuthead’s “Fuck That Shit EP” official release date is March 31, 2017 on Local Talk.
