DJ Spiltmilk “Spiltmilk EP”

Soul & Funk

The good homie, Spiltmilk, dropped his new EP today. All three tracks are straight up dance floor fillers, laced with enough funk to get your body moving uncontrollably. Some may know him from his days DJing and throwing parties in Edmonton , or maybe you know him through his work with Calgary’s seminal funk/boogie/disco/house label, Homebreakin Records. Either way, since his move to Vancouver, he’s provided funk fuelled DJ sets, along with a steady bustle of production credits. I’m always stoked to hear what he’s working on, and he never fails to bring the goods.

Here’s what the label heads have to say:

“Vancouver based artist, DJ Spiltmilk has been liquefying minds and demolishing dancefloors since many of us were a glimmer in our mama’s eyes. An integral part of Homebreakin Records, Spilt Milk is well known for his vinyl funk, disco, house, and hip hop sets all over Canada. On February 21, Spilt Milk will be releasing the Spiltmilk EP on UK label OCD records. The EP has 3 tracks including the ill bass funk tune ‘One For tha $horties’, and two other hype bumpin house tracks ‘Bounce’ and ‘Love the Way’.” (Buy on Juno)

Also, make sure you check out Spiltmilk’s remix of Angel Funke’s ‘Disco Nights’ which was just released earlier this year on DC label Super Hi Fi. (Buy on Juno)
