Exclusive Premiere: Àbáse “Sambo” (feat. Stevo Atambire)

Cosmic Compositions is proud to present “SAMBO”, the new single by Hungarian producer and keyboardist, Àbáse. Following the release of the single ‘Align’ feat. Wayne Snow, Àbáse returns with a new single ‘SAMBO’, exploring again the topics of unity and togetherness.

The instrumental part of “Sambo” was recorded by Àbáse in Berlin’s Red Bull Studios in one live take, without using a click track. Àbáse later travelled to Ghana, where he met Stevo Atambire and they recorded Stevo’s singing and kologo playing in Kwame Yeboah’s famous Kwashibu Area studio in Accra, where Ebo Taylor and Pat Thomas recorded their recent albums.

‘Sambo’ is an intricate mixture of funk, jazz and afro elements, representing the musical direction Àbáse is heading. Live, free, spiritual and dance- oor oriented. The producer has been an active part of the versatile Hungarian music jazz and hip-hop scene. He has been a member of several successful Hungarian acts, such as Amoeba, Soulclap Budapest and the project – The Mabon Dawud Republic – a fourteen piece Afrobeat orchestra guest- starring Dele Sosimi and he has honed his skills as a keyboard player and musical director, proving to be a world class musician. He now comes back with a killer track enriched with Stevo Atambire’s voice.
