Exclusive Premiere: Edrix Puzzle “Eris Fall”

Electronic Jazz Leftfield & Experimental

MIMS is delighted to premiere another impeccable missive from the On The Corner catalogue. This time, it’s Edrix Puzzle.

Having recently stepped through the ‘door to the cosmos’ on last year’s epic OTC compilation of the same name, they have shared “Eris Fall” with us, a whirlwind of scattered drums, chimes, synth noise and odd vocal tics that captivates on every listen.

“Eris Fall” is taken from new EP ‘Rise to Eris’, an engaging three-tracker of acoustic, analog improvised grooves with subtle electronic moments, with Nathan ‘Tugg’ Curran on drums & synths, acclaimed percussionist Oli Savill, and Martin Slattery on bass clarinet & sax(all members of Tugg’s Planet Battagon project), as well as Tom Mason (Double Bass) and Josh Barry (Spoken Word).

Highly recommendable to fans of the gritty and cosmodelic, drum driven fusion of Herbie Hancock’s ‘Mwandishi’ era. Vinyl buyers can order ‘Rise to Eris’ as a split “double drop” EP, the reverse of which contains the brand new ‘Birds of Paradise EP’ by Rob Gallagher’s Diabolical Liberties. An essential purchase for vinyl heads.

Edrix Puzzle also have a rare live show in London, this Thursday September 9th at The Sanctuary. Early bird tickets can still be scooped up here if you are quick enough.
