Exclusive Premiere: Marcello Cassanelli “Malo Pivo”
Jackie Brown is proud to have Italian jazz wizard Marcello Claudio Cassanelli on board.
Marcello a jazz pianist, with master degree in jazz music at the G.B. Martini Conservatory, had a successful and well know contemporary jazz album „Overtour“ from 2018, for which was well received from both audience and critics, such as Jazzit magazine.
Marcello, along with Antonio Rapa on drums and Blake C.S. Franchetto on the bass, recorded a jazz-funk EP for Jackie Brown, with strong influences of house and disco music. It’s a five track EP, with A side tracks „Welcome“ and „Shark“ sound like IDs from Theo Parish funk and disco sets. B side holds three tracks, with slower tempo, but with swing and groove perfect for sunset chill.
