If I had to pick only 1 track as my favourite song of 2015, Par-Le‘s “Kamden Town” would probably take the title. I came across this masterpiece a couple weeks ago; I didn’t know the artist nor the song, and it had only a few listens via their soundcloud account.
With only a few seconds in, I felt the energy, the smooveness, the funk, the soul; all the ingredients seasoned to perfection. Hailing for London, United Kingdom, you can sense that this duo have something really special going on. The production is mad tight, sophisticated, yet simple, and the vocals are on spotless.
Par-le has an EP, “The Light Years” that just came out via iTunes and the music you’ll find on their 1st official project is extremely diverse, always revolving around funk and soul. “Exclusive” is another banger, just played recently on the latest Voyage Funktastique Radio Show.
