Brownswood is very rapidly becoming one of the best labels out there and with Gilles Peterson at the control it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. Vol. 6 of the crucial Brownswood Bubblers edition (tracks not necessarily found on the label) is another great one. Brooklyn based producer Pursuit Grooves comes with one of the dopest tracks on there. She is definitely making music that is hard to define, sometimes more future soul, sometimes broken beat, sometimes abstract… all while having her first LP signed to Tectonic, one of the most respected dubstep labels. Confusing? No… she just makes dope music.
