Future Classic: Throwback Zack “Messages From the Stars”

For this week’s show, I had the immense pleasure to introduce a guest mix from Shred One (Cherries Records/Sweater Funk), who will be at the next Voyage Funktastique monthly night (in Montreal) on Saturday August 2nd, alongside Lexis, Dr.MaD and yours truly. I often keep songs that I dig on the side, so that I get the chance to play it on an upcoming show, and therefore, do a write-up on the featured track. This is the case for “Messages From The Stars” from Throwback Zack, and upcoming modern funk producer hailing from San Diego; he did a rendition of the classic Rah Band jam (Link). It’s the perfect anthem for your long summer nights.

Throwback Zack just released an album via bandcamp (Link) and if I may add something, the JAM that got me from the beginning is You Still Want More (Link).
