Future Classic: Instra:mental “Thomp”
Oooh, calling all true Techno & Garage heads. A preview release for the upcoming INSTRA:MENTAL record on NonPlus Records. Other than the fact that Instra:mental aka Boddika are one of my favorite producers in the genre, this is yet another hot project for the very underrated NonPlus Records. They always put out amazing stuff like Kassem Mosse, Boddika, Lowtec, Actress and so on.
The 12″ single is a two track preview of the full album called “Resolution 653” to come shortly from the duo. Both tracks are strong but the real highlight for me is “Thomp”. “It operates like some Cyborg funk ritual, deploying Untold-style, cone-folding kicks and grazing percussion with earth-moving subs and minimalist splashes of airlock pressure synths”.
