My Favorite Things

MY FAVORITE THINGS #022 — Hosted by Psycut

Jazz

Hi my friends, welcome to a brand new episode of My Favorite Things, and as usual, filled with Forgotten Treasures and Future Jazz Classics.

First of all I want dedicate this one to Hamilton Bohannon and Mike Huckaby, thanks guys for your great music.

Let’s start by the first extract of the vol 2 of the “Jazz is Dead” Project from Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad featuring Roy Ayers. I could say that I’m a collector of all (the good) “Little B’s Poem” Covers and the Nautilus’ one is really really nice.

The first track of the new project of Simon Ratcliffe (half of Basement Jaxx) featuring Binker and Moses is an amazing result who mix Deep Jazz and Fusion Jazz Dance.

The Sun is here in West of Europe, and for me this rhymes with Brazilian music.
Enjoy the 3 recent MPB nuggets from Saulo Duarte, Seu Jorge, ROGÊ and Natalie Greffel.

The mix finishes by a selection of the best Broken Beat and Jazz Funk Discoveries from last weeks from London (Obviously !!!), Paris with the first E.P. of Ishkero on Chuwanaga Records and Australia with the JK Group.
