Coming with their 2nd official vinyl release (1st one was Fanateek One), Cadencé Records have recruited their fellow French funkateer Nickee B to lay down two funk cuts on this 7″.
After his promising debut EP “1984” released digitally in May 2016 on Cadencé Records, Nickee B is back on track with his first ever vinyl release!
“Shy Young Lady” is an energetic monster synth boogie where Nickee B pays a tribute to Henry Horne (The Creations’ “Kinky Girl”). On the flip side there’s “Midnight Promenade”, a smooth instrumental song with its lovely piano and its punchy bass line, is another signature song of Nickee B. “Break!”, the digital bonus track of this release, is an old-school style, breakdancing funk cut, tribute to the New York b-boys sub-culture of the 80’s. Get the cardboard boxes out and make some electric boogaloo!
