There is nothing I love more than riding around in my car windows down bumping some G-Funk. Although the genre is acclaimed and beloved, it has been hard to locate a quality start to finish Westcoast rap mix that is not chockfull of played out classics. It seems my prayers were answered when one of the hardest working DJs in the Midwest: J-Beez pointed me in the direction of his Let’s Go Dippin’ mix.
A stellar execution of flawless blending combined with a solid selection of obscure tracks and sureshot hits makes this an incredible mix that I keep on going back to. From Lil 1/2 Dead to Flint Michigan’s Top Authority, J-Beez covers the whole G-funk spectrum and has the aid of talkbox artist Sligh to put it all together. You can hear the man put a lot of effort in this mix, and anything that starts with Black Superman is an instant winner for me. Bump this real loud in your 65′ Chevy Locs and Gz and take a ride to the Westside!
