Guest Mix #38: JEEN BASSA (22a Music, London)

Soul Worldwide Sounds

A little over a year go, we got our hands on the mysterious slab of vinyl known as 22a #001 and instantly fell in love with the lo-fi, woozy and organic sounds of London’s 22a Music crew.

Although the members of the 22a collective (Henry Wu, Tenderlonious, Mo Kolours, Al Dobson Jr., Jeen Bassa, Reginald Omas Mammode IV) run some solo projects outside of the label it’s pretty incredible to hear how complementary all of their productions or mixes. A crew of musical kindred spirits no doubt!

A couple months ago we received a brilliant guest mix from Henry Wu (check it!) and we’re thrilled to be getting another one from the 22a music crew: JEEN BASSA!
