In just the past year, i’ve had the chance to play with Dam-Funk, Quantic, Mary Anne Hobbs, Roska, Nickodemus, RSD, 45 King, Ghislain Poirier, Take, Onra, Bassnectar, Kris Wadsworth, Mount Kimbie and not to mention all the great Montreal people i’ve collaborated with…

I guess the main quality I have as a DJ is my versatility. I might not be known for one sound, but I think I can hold my own in pretty much every genre that I enjoy… Anything from House, Uk Garage & Dubstep, Hip-Hop, Soul and Funk. Sometimes, it can be a disadvantage because people don’t know what to associate me with. It might not be good marketing-wise but all I’ve ever wanted to be associated with as a DJ is good music period.

I Started Djing since 1999, but have been a music nerd since day 1. I was fortunate enough to grow in an environment where my parents made me listen to all types of stuff, my mom and uncle made me listen to Jimmy Cliff, the Rolling Stones; my dad to the Beach Boys and Gordon Lightfoot (!). I grew up in a pretty multi-cultural area of Montreal so that forced me to discover other musical cultures, much more than the traditional french canadian music…

I’ve been Djing for almost 10 years but I also try to stay humble and open to new collaborations and new ideas. With the idea of collaboration in mind, I started in 2007 MusicIsMySanctuary.com which revolves around my monthly podcasts but also gives lots of visibility to artists from Montreal and anywhere in the world.
