Floating Points – with tunes like “People’s Potential” and “Vacuum Boogie,” it’s no brainier that Floating Points is a master who can effortlessly whip out delightful cosmic boogie, a trusted provider of some seriously hot jam to your ultimate pleasure. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting long and hard for new Floating Points and alas, here it is.
Name of the new girl is “Marilyn,” she’s beautiful, funky, groovy, jazzy, and downright sexy, with old school throwback feel vocal and gorgeous synthlines and broken-beats….seriously, what’s not to like? I can already hear this one being snuck into Gilles Peterson’s picks or Four Tet’s eclectic all-genre-inclusive playlist, in addition to on the dancefloor on a warm & beautiful summer night.
