This “forgotten treasure” pick is for everyone who came out to the Blu & Exile show we put together in Montreal this week!
Blu is such a prolific dude that I could probably do a top 10 of his forgotten gems but seeing as they’re only a few years old i’ll wait a little for that. This one came out in 2007 the same year Blu & Exile released their now classic “Below The Heavens” LP. It was released as part of a J Dilla compilation project called “Jay Loves Japan” which was never released “officially”, more of a promotional thing. The album is really strong and has another favorite track of mine called “Red Light” with Ms. Jack Davey.
