Future Classic: High-Klassified “London Flexin”

Beats Hip-Hop

Sometimes when you are drowning in a sea of new releases, re-issues, free mixtapes and so on, you end up missing some really crucial projects. Take this track called “London Flexin” coming from our own city that flew right under our noses. High Klassified, good homie and member of the dope ALAIZ collective, even sent it to us personally a month ago.

I was at the last edition of ARTBEAT Montreal this saturday and although I was impressed by most producers, this track really stood out. Then when I asked HK in a panic what that last track was he looked at me like : man, I sent you this a month ago!!

In our defence, MIMS is not considered the foremost authority when it comes to those trap rhythms, something that is quite the rage right now it seems with projects like Lunice and Hudmo’s “TNGHT” EP. I think that when HK sent this to us we probably weren’t in the right “mood” as you kinda have to be for this sorta thing. This is just an absolute killer… no laptop speakers for this one. Play loud.
