I wasn’t convinced I liked the idea of this project when I heard the first “official” (remix) single from Jamie XX. For me touching Gil Scott-Heron‘s is a very slippery slope and I wasn’t crazy about “NY is Killing me” for some reason while everyone seemed to be loving it. In case you don’t know, Jamie XX from the indie-ish group The XX is a very talented dude from the UK. His remixes of Florence and the Machines and the most recent Adele one are top notch stuff. I’m just starting to sink my teeth into the record but here are two tracks that I’m digging so far..
