Born and raised with the classic NYC influences all around her, she has become a driving force of her hometown scene. In addition to running NightChild records, she is the founder & resident DJ of the Dancing Room Only NYC Club which has welcome several legends behind the decks: Spinna, Danny Krivit and this month’s guest Jellybean Benitez!

Dancing Room Only (founded in 2015), is a NYC event brand catered to the love of dance and spawned in the spirit of the heyday of the NYC underground dance music community.

Since its inception, the focus has been to deliver a night specifically curated to deliver maximal dance floor enjoyment – wearing your most comfy shoes is highly recommended. Resident DJ and founder, Rissa Garcia, is a NYC native that has had her share of dance floor experiences. She spent a good portion of her years on the dance floor of NYC legends like Danny Tenaglia, Danny Krivit, Louie Vega and more. She made it a point to be there from the very first song until the very last and she uses that experience to hand select some of the finest DJs to play on Cielo’s first class Funktion One Sound System.
