Nas “Nasty” (Video)

Hip-Hop

Oh man, I was about to be seriously depressed by this new Nas video. One minute in I was about to turn it off and bitch about it on but then the video starts making its point as the redux anti-bling version of 1999’s “Hate me now”, one Nasty Nas’ low points.

This time Esco hops out of the Rolls in the Long Island City section of Queens, saluting the kids standing on the corner with hearty handshakes. One lucky youngster is gifted with the rings from Nas’ fingers, right before he passes a wad of cash to a man seated in a wheelchair. The entire ‘hood lines up to greet their prodigal rap son as he returns to his old stomping grounds.

Not ground breaking stuff but pretty solid.
